Pulitzer ceremony

The Pulitzer has now officially been awarded. Photos courtesy of Andrew Lih, husband of Mei Fong. Mei is the other woman in the pictures. The guy is Jason Dean. Mei is, as far as we can tell, the first Chinese to win such an award for covering China. I just grabbed these thumbnails off of his Flickr page.

B has been gone for about 5 days. All is well here. Actually, the kids have been extraordinarily well behaved and probably deserve some sort of reward. I can’t wait to find out if Pulitzer winners have more fun.

    AP,

Checked out Flikr. The actual award is signed by Lee Bolinger…Google that…”Lee C. Bollinger is President of Columbia University and a member of the faculty of the Law School, positions held since 2002. He is a graduate of the University of Oregon and Columbia Law School. After serving as law clerk for Judge Wilfred Feinberg on the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the Chief Justice Warren Burger on the United States Supreme Court, he joined the faculty of the University of Michigan Law School in 1973. In 1987 he was named the Dean of the University of Michigan Law School, a position he held for seven years. He became Provost of Dartmouth College and Professor of Government in 1994 and was named President of the University of Michigan in 1996.”

    Go Blue.

Becky told Bollinger when she shook his hand that she was a Daily alum and he was very proud.

We met him a few years back at the Daily Centennial, and chatted with him for quite a while. He is a class act and a brilliant man, I really do believe.
